About this policy
This policy describes how Perfect Accounting handles personal information through this website and initial enquiries. If we accept a client engagement, we will explain the arrangements for providing detailed records and carrying out the agreed work.
Information you provide
Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, client profile, primary tax matter and a brief summary. You can also provide a telephone number and details of relevant jurisdictions, entities, tax years and deadlines. We also receive information you send by email or provide when discussing your enquiry.
Please keep your first message high level. Do not submit Social Insurance Numbers, passwords, banking details, complete tax returns or sensitive documents through the public form. Agree arrangements with our team before providing detailed records.
How we use information
We use enquiry information to understand your request, assess whether our services may fit, respond, discuss scope and next steps, and keep a record of the communication. Website information also supports website operation and analysis of how visitors use the site. A new purpose that requires consent will be explained separately.
Website providers and records
Enquiries are stored in our website records and handled through email. We use third-party services for website hosting, email communications, record storage and backups. These services may handle contact details, enquiry information and technical records as needed for their role. Email delivery logs may also exist.
Information handled by service providers may be stored or processed outside Canada and subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of those jurisdictions. For information about our current service providers and their roles, contact info@perfectaccounting.ca with “Privacy enquiry” in the subject line.
Cookies and analytics choices
We use Google Analytics to understand website visits and interactions. Analytics may involve cookies or similar technologies and information about pages viewed, devices and browsers. Our cookie controls distinguish essential functions from optional categories.
The cookie banner provides “Accept All,” “Only Essential,” “Decline” and “Preferences” controls. Use the available controls to review or change choices. You can also manage cookies in your browser; restricting cookies can affect website functions and does not necessarily prevent every form of technical data collection. Sending an enquiry is separate from an optional analytics choice.
Retention and care
Information can remain in website records, correspondence, delivery logs and backups. Retention depends on the enquiry, any resulting engagement, and applicable legal or professional recordkeeping needs. Different copies may have different retention cycles. Contact us about a particular record or request.
No online transmission or storage method is risk-free. Keep sensitive records out of public enquiries and discuss an appropriate method for sharing them with our team.
Your requests and privacy concerns
You may request access to or correction of personal information, ask about its use or retention, discuss withdrawing consent, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity. Applicable legal or professional requirements may limit a request, and withdrawing information needed for an enquiry may affect our ability to respond.
Email info@perfectaccounting.ca with “Privacy enquiry” in the subject line. Information about Canadian privacy complaints is available in the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s complaint guide.
Changes
We will update this policy when the practices it describes change and provide additional notice or seek consent where appropriate.
